What is a good news station on TV about current events and politics?

indescribable* asked:

I have really taken an interest in politics and current affairs, both nationally and internationally, and I’m looking for a good unbiased news station. I don’t have much time to sit down and read a newspaper, as I am a full-time student. The best and easiest way for me to learn about this topic is to watch the news when I’m getting ready in the morning, or right before I go to bed. Any suggestions/comments? Thanks!
Okay, if there is no good tv station, then what should I do to learn about politics and other current events?

CNN is the best on TV.

NPR is the best overall (National Public Radio - goggle it). They broadcast far more detailed news stories than anything on TV from 5 or 6 am in the morning until 9am and from 4 or 5 pm in the evening until 6 or 7 pm.

Can’t stand MSNBC. Can’t stand Fox. The never do a good job separating news from commentary.
