What is a good news station on TV about current events and politics?

indescribable* asked:

I have really taken an interest in politics and current affairs, both nationally and internationally, and I’m looking for a good unbiased news station. I don’t have much time to sit down and read a newspaper, as I am a full-time student. The best and easiest way for me to learn about this topic is to watch the news when I’m getting ready in the morning, or right before I go to bed. Any suggestions/comments? Thanks!
Okay, if there is no good tv station, then what should I do to learn about politics and other current events?

What are some modern controversial issues, aside from anything to do with politics and war?

Some examples are abortion, same sex marriage, the ‘gypsy issue’ in Europe, the ‘native/aboriginal issue’ in Canada and the USA. Anything, as long as it isn’t about politics or war.

Politics is the sphere which have the ability to change lives, shape society and influenced the word. There is many questions that needs to be answered. Should European Union divided? Should USA withdraw its troops from Iraq? Should democratic world have relationship with countries whose politics are based on totalitarian regime? Whatever the answers are going to be its going to have enormous impact. This key part which politics has in our society is what is drawing me to it.

How do I become more knowledgable about politics?

January 6th, 2012 | Posted in politics   Comments Off
asked:

Earlier on here someone asked a question about the political views of teenagers, and I was reading through the answers and people were saying about political parties and health care and liberal and conservative and all…and I realized I’d never really bothered to educate myself about political issues. It makes me feel stupid. Even when I watch the news, it’s all Greek to me.
So how can I learn more about politics so I can form my own educated opinions about stuff?

I don’t see why high schools don’t teach politics it’s just as important as math or science. Politics effect everything we do and the effects can be horrible if we vote for the wrong person. I say let’s make politics a mandatory subjects in high school.

Hi asked:

I am a 19 year old student at university studying biochemistry. I study mostly science and math, but I find politics interesting. I want to know more and sometimes I hear people speaking of politics and I am amazed at how much they know. How did you become knowledgeable in politics? Do you read books? Watch T.V.? Read newspapers?
My education level in politics/ U.S. government is a high school civics class.

Are they wise for completely putting off politics, and doing the best they can with their own abilities?
